Tuesday Tips: Swim Minus the Beach

We have been known around the mall as one with high standards, and we don’t see anything wrong in that.

Buckle genuinely wants more from it’s clothes – a better fit, a better fabric, versatility to a fault.

That doesn’t stop when it comes to our swim.

So, in the spirit of high standards and trend items leading double lives, we went to work in transforming our swim into the ultimate layering piece.

Hurley stripe surf swimwear top layered under Gilded Intent top (out soon!) paired with Flying Monkey ankle straights.

We are guilty of wishing, once or twice, that we could live in our swim.

…Perhaps in that wish we were imagining ourselves living on a beach, but we will take what we can get.

If we take out the beach, we can still keep the swim – and transition it over to everyday wear. Take that low-cut tank that would be enough to get anyone talking; we can soften its impact with a fun printed bikini-turned-bralette.

Accessories: BKE choker necklace set and Quinn & Copper Love bangle and a pair of simple BKE hoop earrings.

We are calling it already — ankle skinny denim will rule the summer. It’s the perfect compromise between a relaxed boyfriend and an ultra skinny – we have no complaints.

IF a beach were to pop up, these are the jeans we would want to be in.

Girl walking through alleyway with white fence on both sides - woman is wearing blush strappy neckline tank with blue and black floral maxi skirt and black swim top styled as a bralette.

The given styling approach for swim would be solely easy, breezy looks that can go from street to pool. Well, it’s Tuesday and we are feeling especially daring with our tips, so let’s talk swim for date night.

Capitalize on the fact that the maxi skirt is still basking in its style moment and nothing is quite as romantic as a seasonal blush. A little drama goes a long way when it comes to a black under piece that looks as good in the water as it does out.

There is legitimately no reason your favorite swimwear top cannot also be your favorite bralette. A killer neckline is a killer neckline, and we will be subtly cheering you on from the sidelines.

Tuesday’s tip:  demand a little more from your closet.
