As our busy summer calendars fade for weekends spent relaxing in cooler weather, we look forward to fall’s – and time spent with family.
Here to share a little of their own time is Kirby and Corie. With over 28 years of combined Buckle experience, this father and son dynamic knows a thing or two when it comes to denim, and even more about what really matters – each other.
Check out their story and let us know what you like to do with your family in the comments below!
Kirby: How would you describe your relationship with Corie?
I believe my relationship with Corie is your typical father son relationship with a lot of the same interests, hobbies, and values. We enjoy the outdoors, hunting, fishing, motorcycles, and physical fitness.
Corie: What are some of your favorite memories spent with your dad?
My best memories were spent growing up on the farm.
Kirby: What’s it like working at the same company as your son?
It has been very rewarding as a parent watching Corie grow into the fine young man that he is with great work ethic and values at home and the workplace.
Corie: Where and when do you wear your denim?
I wear my denim to work and when I go out.
Kirby: Light or dark wash?
Dark for work, light for play.
Corie: What kind of jeans were you into in high school?
Wranglers and Dickies.
Kirby: How has your jean preference changed over the years?
Preference has not changed much, years ago my favorite was Levis 501. Jeans have come a long way, what we used to think was worn out is now fashion. There are so many different choices from color of washes to stretch denim that’s very comfortable.
Corie: When it comes to denim, function or fashion?
Function, because I can make any jean fashionable.
