Have the mountains been calling? We heard it too and decided to check it out for ourselves. We traveled to Jackson, Wyoming in the Grand Teton Mountains and have the insider scoop for your next cozy getaway. We laid out a perfect itinerary and packing list so the only thing you have left to do is book your tickets.

Personally, we loved the Anvil Hotel. From the fully stocked coffee bar and mercantile shop of mountaineer must-haves, to the beautifully handcrafted details in the rooms, you’ll want to spend some time exploring before venturing out the door. It’s also the perfect place to cozy up by the fireplace and play board games after a day of hitting the slopes.

Speaking of cozy, you’re going to want all of the soft sweaters and flannels in your suitcase. Don’t worry, we’ve totally got you covered.

Grab the crew and head out early for coffee and a bite at the Persephone Bakery Café. With plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, there’s something there for everyone, whether it be brunch or a just a sip of coffee or cocktails. Elevate your brunching look with a cute trendy hat that’s perfect to take you from day to night.

You’re going to want some quality walking shoes. From handmade leather shops to souvenir and gifts shops, you have to see it all. Everything in the town of Jackson is within walking distance, so we’d recommend something comfy with a western flare for shopping and nights out in the town square.

Pack a picnic lunch and head out of town. Allow some time to take in that cool mountain air and relax. If you’re lucky you might see some of the various wildlife whose natural habitat you’re in. Take binoculars and keep an eye out for moose, elk, buffalo, bears, wolves, and mountain lions.

In the Grand Tetons, there are miles of hiking and walking trails that oversee some of the most beautiful landscapes this country has to offer. Once you get out to the National Park, you’re definitely not going to want sore feet to stop you from exploring the mountain side, so something durable and waterproof is an absolute must. It might as well be cute enough for the inevitable mountain Insta pic. These Sorels check all the boxes.

Expect chilly days and cold nights, but hiking the park trails or line dancing in the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar with your gal pals will have you shedding heavier layers quickly. Bring on the denim and corduroy jackets, they’ll have you looking and feeling like a local.
