Ever wonder what it’s really like working for Buckle as an intern?
Well the summer crew is back, and these babes might just be the fiercest yet.
From working our runway to outfitting in-house models, two of our favorites are dishing on their personal style and giving a behind-the-scenes look at their summer jobs.
And if there’s anything we can learn about this dynamic pair, it’s that they know a good trend when they see one.

Title at Buckle: Styling Intern
What does your typical day at Buckle look like? Every day is different and that’s what I love about the job. Our main responsibilities include prepping for studio shoots which hold all the online product, building outfits for projects which include social media, the blog, and buckle.com. Anything else the team might need, we are always happy and ready to help.
Most valuable lesson you’ve learned during your internship? This internship has given me a glimpse into how a corporate office is ran from the creative team’s point of view. I’m the Assistant Manager at my Buckle in Orlando so I do a lot of teaching and training, this internship gave me the opportunity to learn and take in as much information as I could. The most valuable lesson has definitely been that if you have an idea and a plan you can make it happen if you put in the effort. We have had so many projects that the team has handed over to us, let us plan, and brainstorm. At first it was challenging trying to figure out what they would want and once I made the mental transition of just doing what I felt would look best, it opened my eyes to the creative freedom that this job gives you.
Favorite project you’ve worked on? It’s hard to narrow it down to just one, but so far my favorite has been planning the Manager Meeting’s fashion show. We had to build so many looks in such little time that it really tested me, but we completed around 60 outfits for meetings and I loved seeing it all out, on the models, and knowing I did that.
Describe your style in one sentence. Street with a hint of boho.
How does your hometown influence your closet? Growing up in Boca Raton is definitely a different lifestyle than most cities, going out to run errands required a full outfit so I felt like I grew up on a constant runway and I loved that. It has definitely made my closet bigger than most, but it showed me at a young age that fashion was my passion.
You’ve worked a lot with Lindsey. What have you learned from her/about her? I have learned that Lindsey is #1 obsessed with her dog (like no other), #2 a really hard worker, and #3 very open when it comes to getting feedback or learning different ways to do things.
Netflix suggestions? Grey’s Anatomy (if you haven’t already, idk why but you need to get on that)
- Scandal
- How to Get Away with Murder
- (Anything Shonda Rhymes^^^)
- HULU- Handmaid’s Tale
- Bachelor/Bachelorette
Summer vacay. Beach or city? A beach in the city… I grew up on the beach in the city and couldn’t see life any better than that.

Best part about working at Buckle? The best part about working for Buckle working with people who love fashion as much as you do. Also, I love that Buckle keeps up with the latest trends and keeps evolving with the industry!
How has your internship impacted you professionally? Personally? My internship has impacted me professionally by showing that just doing small things here and there can really impact someone down the road, or how important networking is in this industry. Personally, this internship has impacted me by not being afraid to be myself and to always remain humble in the process. Also, I feel like I’ve grown as a stylist and I have learned so many things that can benefit me down the road!
Something you wish you knew about your job before you started? That it’s okay to wear sweatpants/leggings to the office!
If your style was a song, what would it be? Okay, this was EXTREMELY hard… It is hard to define what my style is but I guess I would choose, Humble by Kendrick Lamar meets Bad Liar by Selena Gomez.
Will you take any trend or style back to your home state with you? My time in Nebraska hasn’t influenced my style in a big way, but I definitely have been shopping WAY more since I left home! One trend I will definitely take back are the loafers and mule shoe trend. I honestly never thought I would see myself wearing them until I started working at Buckle HQ. I am obsessed with them and need them in every color!
Favorite memory of working with Mary Grace? My favorite memory with Mary Grace would definitely be planning the fashion show for the Summer Manager Meetings! I had so much fun with her picking out all the outfits, finding the music, and planning the hair and makeup. Also, being able to be in the fashion show and seeing everyone’s reaction was definitely something I would never forget!
Nickelodeon or Disney? I grew up mostly with Nickelodeon (90s baby all the way!) However, I do love Lizzie McGuire… so Disney!
What’s on your summer playlist? Anything Drake or Kendrick Lamar!
