Title: Style Intern
Hometown: Newman Grove, NE
College: University of Nebraska-Lincoln
Major: Marketing and Advertising/Public Relations
Describe your typical day at the office. There really isn’t a “typical” day as a style intern. It’s different every day and I love it! My main responsibilities include working hand-in-hand with our photographers, models, and senior stylists to create awesome content (photos and videos) for our social media platforms and web media. I do a lot of outfit creation and picking sets for the photoshoots. I assist with the Gimmicks Instagram, Shop by Outfits on buckle.com, and any other random requests. Putting together the fashion show for Manager Meetings in June was a really fun, big project.
Explain your experience at Buckle using three words. Creative, Rewarding, Passionate
Best up-coming trends? In my opinion, bodysuits, choker necklaces, bomber jackets, camo, and lace-up tops are the must-haves right now!
What’s a random fact about you?
I graduated high school with only eight other kids.
Finish this sentence: When I was younger, I got stitches in my tongue. (Don’t ask, it’s all a big blur).
Words to live by/best advice you’ve ever received: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

Title: Women’s Buying – Accessories Intern
Hometown: Mondovi, WI
College: University of Wisconsin-Stout
Major: Retail Merchandising and Management with a fashion marketing concentration
Describe your typical day at the office. My typical day starts by checking emails and getting caught up from the previous day. Then, I work on projects and touch base with the senior buyers if needed. Every day at 11 a.m. we have an accessories meeting where we go over urgent information and discuss orders as a team. After lunch I do jewelry approvals for the vendor I work with. In the afternoons, I run numbers on belts and handbags to see how the stores are doing with particular SKU’s. No day is ever the same and I love that about this job, it keeps me on my toes.
Explain your experience at Buckle using three words: Absolutely amazing experience. The amount of knowledge I have gained over the last 10 weeks is tremendous. I can’t thank everyone enough for all of the time they have put in to help me succeed.
Describe your style. I wish I could! My style seems to change daily, depending on where I am or what I’m doing. Overall, I would say my style is very Boho. I love flowy dresses, floral prints, and big kimonos.
What’s a random fact about you? I wanted to be a lawyer since the 6th grade. But after completing my freshman year of college as a pre-law student, I knew it wasn’t right for me. Also, I’m a vegetarian but grew up on a beef farm!
Dogs or Cats? Dogs. No question. But I love kittens. Baby kittens are the best.
Words to live by/best advice you’ve ever received: “It is what it is.” Sometimes things happen and there is nothing we can do about it. You just have to keep your chin up, smile, and go show everyone what you’ve got!

Describe your typical day at the office. My typical day “at the office” is not in your usual office setting. I also work on outfit laydowns and model photography for store support purposes and style outfits for the Shop by Outfit feature on buckle.com.

What is your favorite piece in your closet and why? I am a shoe addict! I can’t identify one particular pair in my closet, but chunky heels are my favorite closet staple, providing comfort without compromising height.

Finish this sentence: When I was younger, I wanted to be a paleontologist.

Title: Women’s Buying – Denim Intern
Hometown: Berthoud, CO
College: Colorado State University – GO RAMS!
Major: Apparel and Merchandising with a minor in business administration
Describe your typical day at the office. A typical day at the office starts by checking emails and looking at how product is selling. From here – each day varies. On Tuesday, all brands discuss denim sales. Often, we review as a team on future buys and product development. Mornings are also a great time to work on any projects I may have. Daily packages for all brands need to be spec’d and prepped for our models to try on in the afternoon. We then review the product and send comments/approvals.
