Dine With Style: How to Build a Charcuterie Board

Charcuterie boards have been the thing to celebrate for a while now, and we don’t see that slowing down anytime soon. In fact, they’re becoming the centerpiece of our holiday celebrations this year. From dinner parties to movie nights, charcuterie boards always have a place at the table.

Now, some of you may be thinking “it’s just a meat and cheese board” but we’d argue it’s much more than that. Building a charcuterie board is an art form, it’s creative, it’s a celebration of food. There are ways to make it your own with what you put on it and how you arrange it – just like we did with ours.

So, let’s breakdown how to make a charcuterie board like our holiday one. And if you’re doing this along with us, feel free to swap out any toppings and get creative with your arrangement.

We started with a circular board and kept that shape when layering meat in the center and adding some cheese on top, forming another circle.

After that, we added bread to two edges of the board, making them diagonal from each other. We filled in the other edges with some extra meat and cheese, along with a few dates and fruit slices.

Filling in any gaps and adding more color and texture to the board, we placed nuts, figs, grapes, and stuffed olives where we saw fit.

Then we brought it full circle and added a little bowl of jam to the center of the cheese we placed in the beginning.

And just like that, you’re ready to celebrate (and dine) with style.
