Don’t Be Fooled By These 5 Denim Myths

Denim Myths

Forget the tricks this April Fool’s Day, navigating the sea of blue can be tricky enough. So, we’re taking it upon ourselves to tell you the truth about our jeans.

We caught up with denim expert, Lynn, to help us debunk the 5 most common denim myths.

1. MYTH: BUCKLE JEANS ARE EXPENSIVE

Let’s get this out of the way first, do we have expensive jeans? Yes. Do we have quality jeans? Absolutely. And we also have jeans that start at just $39.95 for men and $49.95 women that are good quality too.

“Would you pay a few dollars more for jeans that fit? And that you wear over and over again? I would say YES to that. That feeling of finding the perfect fit is priceless.” – Lynn

Not only do we have jeans at every price point, we have jeans for every body (see myth #2).

2. MYTH: BUCKLE DOESN’T HAVE MY SIZE

Take it from the denim expert herself,

“Oh, we do! Even in our BKE Spring Collection, we have up to 60 size/inseam combinations!” – Lynn

We kinda like this myth, we take it has a challenge to find not only your size, but in a style you love.

For women we have waist sizes 22-38 and inseam options 24″-37″.

Men have even more sizing options with a Big & Tall selection – waist sizes 23-50 and 28″-38″ inseams.

3. MYTH: JEANS ARE UNCOMFORTABLE

“TOTAL myth! With our superior stretch fabrics, our denim can really be that ‘make your leggings jealous’ feel.” – Lynn

Don’t get us wrong, there’s a time and place for your favorite rigid Levi’s, but not all jeans are made equally.

There is so much more to jeans with added technology like COOLMAX®, REPREVE®, Performance Stretch, functional fabrics, sculpting and shaping pocketing, and more!

4. MYTH: NEVER WASH YOUR JEANS

“General rule of thumb, wash less and wear more.” – Lynn

There’s really no right or wrong answer here. We suggest washing your jeans at least once a month to get rid of bacteria and to get those blues back into shape.

5. MYTH: DOUBLE DENIM IS OUT OF STYLE

While Justin and Britney may have ruined double denim for us in the 2000s, we think it’s time to forgive them.

Because the truth is, we love double-denim looks and whoever said you shouldn’t wear denim on denim just needs to know a thing or two.

Style tips from Lynn:

“Mix up your washes, I tend to switch up the wash/shade of my top to that of my bottom. Love the darker denim bottom with lighter colored jacket or chambray shirt. Or, my go-to black denim with any shade under the indigo sun…Have FUN with it.”
