Happy new year everyone! We had a great year, and we’re looking forward to striving for new goals in 2014. Last week, we went around the office to find out what our team is bringing to the new year. After taking down over two pages of new year’s resolutions, we have compiled our top 10 favorites.
10) Do a good deed everyday
Wow! Sounds like a big commitment for being number ten on our list, but think about it. A good deed can be a simple smile and hello! Try to spread a little cheer everyday even if it seems overly simple.
9) Read
It doesn’t have to be a 500 page book! We love keeping up to date on fashion and the latest trends, so we read plenty of blogs and online articles. Find something that sparks your interest, and consistently read up on it.
8) Find “you time” everyday
Take 15-20 minutes everyday for a little time to yourself. You might be surprised how calming it can be.
7) Volunteer to help others
There’s no better feeling than donating some time and effort into a greater cause. Take advantage of volunteer opportunities this year. You won’t regret it!
6) Try a new style
All bias aside, we think the new year is a perfect time to branch out with your style. Check out some of our how-to posts for helpful hints!
5) Start a journal
Writing is a great way to end every day. Pick up a journal the next time you’re at the grocery store, and spend 15 minutes a day writing down anything (how you feel, what you did, funny things that happened, or whatever comes to mind.)
4) Go to a concert
We love music! Treat yourself this year with tickets to a band you’ve always wanted to see live.
3) Take a road trip
Toss on some of your favorite tunes, and hit the road. There’s nothing better than some time on the open road, so plan a trip to a new place with old friends.
2) Try new food
The 2014 year is the year for newness. Step out of your shell and into a new restaurant to spice up your life with some new tastes!
1) Workout
It’s on everyone’s list, right? That’s why working out is number one on our list this year too. We even want to help ourselves get inspired. We’re watching this video, pulling our new sporty look together, and hitting the gym in our favorite sportswear!
There you have it, folks. We hope you can take something away from our resolution list this year. Or help us add to it! What are your favorite resolutions for 2014?
