Sweet Summertime Lemonade
We won’t be shy about it, the perfect summer refreshment is sweet, citrusy, and crisp. It’s lemonade! And we’re claiming it as the official Buckle Youth drink of the summer. We’re here with a fun, simple recipe that will not only be a hit for the family, but for the whole neighborhood. Fill up your cup, and possibly your piggy bank with our simple lemonade recipe. With just a few steps and help from a parent, you’ll be on your way to sipping (or selling) summer in a cup in no time!
With help from a parent, in a medium pan over medium heat, combine 3 cups water and sugar, stir gently until all sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, set aside, and let cool while squeezing lemons.
Have your parent cut each lemon in half. Now SQUEEZE! Over a measuring bowl, squeeze lemon halves until you have 1 cup of juice.
In a large pitcher, stir together lemon juice with the cooled water and sugar mix. Add quart of water and pinch of salt. Stir and refrigerate. When ready to serve, poor over ice and enjoy!
