Fall, already? Yes, you heard us right. It’s almost time to start thinking about denim, sweaters, boots, and pumpkin spice!
Last month, over 500 Buckle store managers traveled to our hometown in Kearney, Nebraska to watch our women’s fashion show previewing new fall product – and let’s just say you’re going to want to see this.
We caught up with Kelsey from Buckle’s Women’s Buying Team, to learn more about the buying process, when we will start seeing new fall arrivals, and of course, what new trends you need!
It’s still summer, why are we seeing fall clothing now?
We like to show the store managers upcoming fall product now to get them excited about the new season and the newness we have coming over the next few months.
When does the buying process start and end for fall?
The timeline of the buying process really varies by type of clothing. We can work anywhere from a year or less in advance on certain products and brands. We continue to work on fall even in season as we react to new trends and best sellers.
When can our guests start to expect new arrivals for fall?
Items have arrived! The kick off to fall fashion starts with our Annual Loyalty Event, going on now. From there, product will continue to transition as we move further into fall season over the next few months.
What current trends will continue to fall?
Denim on denim, stripes, fall florals, fashion pants, jumpsuits, ankle skinny jeans, and hem detailing.

Flares & Colored Booties

It’s the year of the comeback. First denim skirts and now flare denim, give us all the nostalgia. This is one of our favorite looks from the fall preview because we’re always ready to make a denim statement.
Flares will be available from multiple brands in a variety of washes, colors, hem details, and inseams!
And can we talk about those booties? When we say pop of red, we mean it. We’ll see lots of pops of color this fall, but there’s something about red that steals our hearts.
Look for fun pops of red to pair with any favorite denim, skirt, or fashion pant.

Ladies, we’re taking over menswear and killing it.

Feeling so good, looking so bad? Leather will do that to you. Leather is one of our go-tos for fall and we’re bringing the logo tees along too.
