Getting up in the morning is about 78% easier when you know what you are going to throw on after prepping your face with moisturizer and a swipe of highlighter.
It’s roughly 84% easier when you love what you are, in fact, throwing on.
This was true for myself in 2009, when I covered myself from wrist to elbow in bangles and layered one sheer tank over one not-quite-so-sheer tee, and remains true in 2017 when I would rather deal with billows of fabric draped on my keyboard than naked arms.
I feel like this year has really been an A+ year of trends that celebrate being a little extra – and that, I am.
From high-waisted, Cindy Crawford-esque denim complete with a stark white bodysuit to 1980’s Cher off-the-shoulder everything – we are all cheering for a little more fabric in all the right places, exaggerated sleeves included.
