If you said yes to all three questions then, ding-ding… you know your Buckle history.
We have changed our name from The Brass Buckle to The Buckle, to what you now know as Buckle over the last 50 years.
Paying tribute to some of those changes, our Legacy Collection’s vintage style tees allow our old logos to live on*.
(Giving us a serious case of nostalgia.)
But would it really be a throwback without the resurfacing of BKE’s signature pocket details or fit? We think not.

Speaking of said roots, the Buckle (as stated previously) started from a single shop in the humble town of Kearney, Nebraska. And we’ve come a long way in the past 50 years.
Over time, we’ve seen our product change, our name change, and we’ve built countless relationships along the way. Check out our tribute through the decades.
In 1965, Dan Hirschfeld took over operations at Mills Clothing, his father’s premium formal wear store with a unique customer experience. As time passed, Dan exchanged dress attire for blues jeans and in 1967, a second store named Brass Buckle was born.
Our back-to-school ad from 1984 still feels just as relevant today as it did then. See the 5 reasons we still love Levi’s.

Our store locations map from 1991 illustrates our deep Midwestern ties with 99 stores in 14 states. Today, Buckle operates over 460 stores in 44 states.
Embracing our Americana roots in the early 90s, it was all about oversized sweatshirts, denim, and good times. Has anything really changed?
Even after 50 years, we’re still committed to providing the most enjoyable shopping experience for our guests as possible. And that’s something we can celebrate.
