We’ve been talking a lot recently about going back to school in style. And while you may have a new wardrobe, backpack, and all of the best folder designs – we bet those school books are looking a little plain. But don’t worry, this DIY book cover will be sure to add that last touch of style you’re looking for.
Let’s start out easy – the first thing you need to do is gather your supplies. Just check everything off this list and then you’re good to go.
- Paper Buckle bag (you know, that one you got while back-to-school shopping 😉)
- Scissors
- A pencil
- A book
Step 1
Carefully disassemble the bag and place your book on top of the brown side.
Step 2
Take your scissors and cut the bag down so there are about 2 to 4 inches of excess on each side of the open book.
Step 3
Use your pencil to mark where the edge of the book is. These will become your fold lines for the next step.
Step 4
Fold the bag so it’s the same height as the book.
Step 5
Slip the book cover into one end of the bag, then fold under. Repeat with the back cover – you’re almost done!
Step 6
All you have to do now is close the book and, of course, head back to school in style!
