Unite To Fight Breast Cancer During Denim Days!

American Cancer Society Denim Days Presented By Buckle - Breast Cancer Awareness Month Fundraising Campaign

This October, Buckle and the American Cancer Society are united to fight breast cancer!

And you can join the fight too!

American Cancer Society is celebrating Denim Days, their month-long fundraising campaign where participants join or create a team, and raise funds and awareness to fight breast cancer by making donations to dress casual at work and other places alike. Jeans are often worn during Denim Days as a sign of solidarity in supporting the fight. You can learn more about Denim Days, by going here and here.

Being the denim destination that we are, Buckle is thrilled to be this year’s presenting sponsor of Denim Days, and we’ve committed to supporting the fundraising campaign in a BIG WAY! 🙌 With a commitment to contribute a minimum of $250,000 to American Cancer Society to help fight breast cancer.

The funds raised during Denim Days will support critical American Cancer Society programs including transportation to treatments for cancer patients, free stays at Hope Lodges for those traveling away from home for treatment, and investment in groundbreaking cancer research.

As the second-leading cause of cancer death among women, more than 268,000 women are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019 with about 41,000 deaths. Assuredly, mortality rates have dropped 40% among women since 1989, and the American Cancer Society is there for people facing breast cancer – and all cancers – every step of the way! Since Denim Days began in 1996, participants have raised more than $98 million to make sure those facing breast cancer know that the American Cancer Society stands with them in the fight.
