Sun, Summer & Self-Care
This summer, we’re getting out, making plans, styling new looks, and truly focusing on the what ifs. But in-between creating moments and memories that make summer a standout, be sure to focus on you and take some much-needed time for yourself.
Time to do those things that feel true to you and bring you inner peace. Create moments not only with those around you, but ones that are meant just for you. Whether that consists of curling up with a good book, listening to a podcast while whipping up something in the kitchen, or pressing play on your summer playlist while working out – we’ve got you covered with any and everything you need.
Our reading list
It truly doesn’t get more relaxing than curling up with a book that helps you escape the real world for a little. Plus, it’s the perfect excuse to wear that oh-so-soft loungewear you inevitably added to your closet during the last 18 months. So, let’s put on just that, light a candle, grab a blanket, and of course, a book! Here’s our summer reading list.
Before it hits screens
“Nine Perfect Strangers” by Liane Moriarty
“Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens
“The Last Letter from Your Lover” by Jojo Moyes
Beach bag approved
“Beach Read” by Emily Henry
“People We Meet on Vacation” by Emily Henry
“Later” by Stephen King
“The Sun and Her Flowers” by Rupi Kaur
“The Daily Stoic: 366 Meditations for Clarity, Effectiveness, and Serenity” by Ryan Holiday
For us, it’s not a day of self-care without pressing play on our favorite playlist or podcast and truly tuning it. Whether you listen while you read, workout, go for a walk, or cook, we have you covered for anything!
Summer Oasis – the perfect background music for summer reading.
Cool Girl Summer – grab your yoga mat, some headphones, and head outside to work out while you listen to this empowering and motivating mix.
For the TV junkies:
“I Am All In with Scott Patterson”
For the sports fans:
“The Bill Simmons Podcast”
“Pardon My Take”
Others we love:
“Anything Goes with Emma Chamberlain”
“On Record” by Spotify
And don’t forget, this list is just a starting point to your summer of self-care. Be sure to add your favorites in and do what feels true to you!
Treating yourself to new styles is self-care too 😉
